Meet the Team: Alex Chum, Client Success Executive

It’s always an exciting time when we get to welcome a new member to the Festicket & Event Genius family.

Through our ‘Meet the team’ blog series, we’ll be shining the spotlight on the people helping make the magic happen, finding out their stories, ambitions, the live entertainment experiences that shaped them, and more.

In this latest post we caught up with one of the newest members of our Client Success team, Alex Chum, who’s joined us as a Client Success Executive.

Why did you choose to join Festicket & Event Genius?

After many years freelancing I wanted to develop new skills within this industry. Festicket and Event Genius are in an exciting period of start-up/scale up and I felt there was a good opportunity for professional growth in an interesting event-tech field.

What attracted you to the live events and festival industry? Or what do you enjoy most about the industry if you've previously been working in it?

I really enjoy working on site, and problem solving on my feet. I also enjoy the planning process of events, and even after all this time I still get excited listening to a client’s ideas and aspirations.

What do you hope to achieve at Festicket & Event Genius?

I hope to implement a solid foundation to access control related projects, to progress in the cashless operations, and to learn more about the business aspect of the company and being a service provider.

What are you most excited about with regards to your new role here?

More contact with clients, and to also help make the process from client to operations as smooth as possible.

As a fan, what is your favourite festival or gig memory?

Stormzy at Glastonbury. Stormzy is from my hometown and it was surprisingly emotional.

What is your favourite onsite working memory?

Working as one of the core team at Glastonbury.

Alex will join us in our London office but we also have offices across the world, including in Europe, North America and Australia, and are actively growing our teams across all these territories.

We’re a close-knit team of passionate music fans and event-goers dedicated to making the industry a better place for fans and organisers alike, and are always on the lookout for other like-minded individuals to join the family.
